When it comes to skincare products, it’s almost impossible to find one brand where every product works for everybody. But, I CAN say that I’ve discovered one skincare brand that I think you’ll like…no matter your skin type. Let’s review AbsoluteJOI Skincare!
The brand’s products are free of the harmful ingredients I always caution against, and they’re gentle and effective.
ABOUT ABSOLUTEJOI SKINCARE
The first thing you need to know about AbsoluteJOI Skincare is the person behind the brand. She was inspired to create her own skincare line after being frustrated with the lack of options available for her and her daughters’ skin issues.
“The face of clean beauty and a healthy lifestyle is not a brown face, and I would like us to feel more comfortable and welcome.” ~Dr. Anne Beal

You can read more about Dr. Anne Beal’s story in an interview on Beauty Independent here.
In terms of ingredients, AbsoluteJOI identifies itself as a clean beauty brand. So, you won’t see anything with parabens, sulfates, dyes, or fragrances. This includes essential oils. And their products are cruelty-free and made in the USA and France.
Now, let’s dive into my review of the products and a few of my favorites! (I’ll try to update this list as the brand expands its line).
ABSOLUTEJOI SKINCARE – PRODUCT REVIEWS
Sunflower & Moringa Fresh Cleanse Oil
You all know I’m a big believer in double-cleansing. It’s a mandatory step in my evening routine. Check out my blog on oil cleansers for more of my thoughts on the topic.
AbsoluteJOI Skincare’s Sunflower & Moringa Fresh Cleansing Oil has a wonderfully silky texture and removes all my eye makeup. Those are two key qualities of a good oil cleanser for me.
I enjoy oil cleansers with rich, smooth textures, that remove my eye makeup without needing to tug on my eyes and doesn’t leave a residue when you remove it. This oil cleanser hits the mark. I do wish it came in a bigger size, though.

RANKING:
Hydrating Gel Foam Cleanser
The Hydrating Gel Foam Cleanser is a soap-free, pH-balanced cleanser that claims to support your skin barrier. So, this will never leave your skin feeling dry and tight. I think its a quality cleanser, especially since I have dry skin.
I don’t have anything negative to say about this cleanser; it’s simple and effective.

Balancing pH Face Toner with Aloe, Oat & Hyaluronic Acid
AbsoluteJOI’s face toner contains aloe, oat, and hyaluronic acid. These ingredients calm and hydrate the skin while maintaining the skin’s pH balance.
I think it’s a beautiful toner. It’s not drying and feels soothing on the skin. But, I don’t really use toners consistently, unless they’re acid toners. As you know, using an acid toner is my preferred form of exfoliation.
INGREDIENTS:
Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis) Leaf Juice, Water (Aqua), Saccharide Isomerate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Oat (Avena Sativa) Kernel Extract, Sclerotium Gum, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Potassium Sorbate, Sorbic Acid
When Do I Use This?
I’ve used balancing toners in my morning and evening routine. Although, you’ll find me using this toner the most when I double cleanse with the other AbsoluteJOI Skincare products.

Skin Refining Night Oil with Retinol and Vitamins C+E
If you’re looking for an anti-aging product to help treat hyperpigmentation and boost radiance? Then look no further! The Skin Refining Night Oil has Vitamin C, which you know I love. And it also incorporates a granactive retinoid, which is a retinol product developed to tackle signs of aging without enduring any soreness or irritation.
This face oil was the first retinol face treatment I tried that didn’t give me any irritation. The formula is gentle and helps with long-term even skin tone and brightness, hyperpigmentation, and cell regeneration.
But, it’s not an overnight savior, so please give it some time to see skin changes. Give it 4-6 weeks before you re-evaluate your skin. Consistency is key.
INGREDIENTS:
Organic Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil*, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil**, Shea Butter Ethyl Esters, Organic Argania Spinosa (Argan) Kernal Oil*, Rosa Canina (Rose Hip) Fruit Oil**, C15-19 Alkane, Moringa Oleifera (Moringa) Seed Oil**, Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate (Vitamin C), Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil*, Dimethyl Isosorbide, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Beta-Sitosterol, Squalene
When Do I Use This?
I used this as the last step in my evening routine. And I use retinol treatments 2-3 a week, specifically on days I don’t exfoliate in my evening routine.
