THE FOUNDER

Why Beauty In Color exists.

I'm Dana, a skincare educator, eczema advocate, and founder of Beauty In Color. I built this platform because I spent years trying to apply mainstream skincare advice to skin that didn't fit the mold it was written for. My goal is to translate the science into guidance that's practical, specific, and actually useful, for skin like ours.

THE LIBRARY

Start with the topic that fits what your skin needs.

01

Skincare Basics

The foundation. How to build a routine that works for your skin, layer products in the right order, and make confident decisions without wasting money or starting over every few months.

02

Skin Barrier Health

Your skin barrier controls everything: moisture retention, sensitivity, and how well your skin tolerates the products you use. Learn how it works, what damages it, and how to repair and protect it long-term.

03

Anti-Aging Skincare

Aging is not something to fight. It is something to understand. This section covers how skin changes in your 30s, 40s, and beyond, and which ingredients and strategies actually support it.

04

Skincare Ingredients

What is actually in your products, which actives are worth your attention, and how to read a label without a chemistry degree. Ingredient education in plain language.

05

Sunscreen

The single most important step in any routine, especially if you are managing hyperpigmentation. Everything you need to know about sun protection, with guidance centered on melanin-rich skin.

06

Skin Concerns

Hyperpigmentation, dark spots, eczema, dryness, dehydration, and sensitivity. Targeted education for the concerns that show up most in deeper skin tones, explained with the specificity they deserve.
